Jimmy Littlejohn and Sean Jones lead the field to green. Littlejohn jumped out to the lead early. Jones quickly challenged for the lead but was held off by Littlejohn on lap 2. Jones and Littlejohn ran door to door with Mitch McMillian joining the battle at the end of lap 2 making it three wide coming out of turn 4. McMillian got loose on lap 4 losing a few spots. Jones got around Littlejohn coming off of turn 4 on lap 5. Jones was running the EXTREME high line. Troy Taylor moved up and challenged Littlejohn for 2nd, getting by on lap 7 bringing McMillian with him. The 1st caution came on lap 9 when Littlejohn suffered a right rear flat and coasted around the top of the track to the pits. On the restart it was Jones, Taylor, McMillian, Danny Ferguson, Nathan Sugg, Cameron West, Carl Large, Jim Fletcher, Carey Felkins and Chris Huckeba with the lap car of David Pugh between Jones and Taylor.

Back to green, Taylor challenged Jones for the lead. The two battled with Taylor getting around Jones in turns 3 and 4. Jones battled back on the highside in 1 and 2 only to drop off the pace and head to the pits on the back stretch!

SIMS Modifieds

David Cooke and Justin McCoy lead the field to green with Cooke getting the lead. After the 5th caution and 25 minutes with only 4 laps complete, the SIMS boys were sent to the pits for a drivers meeting with Bo Rawdon. The were brought back out after all the other classes had ran. When the cars returned to the track, they had 16 laps to go, the running order was Cooke, Barret, Pickering, Hanson, Yarber, Chriswell, Pirkle, Darby, Renfro, New, Capps, Clinkenbeard, McMillian, McCoy, Lane, and Young. Cooke lead until lap 9 when slight contact entering turn 3 between Cooke and Pickering resulted in Cooke spinning and bringing out the caution. Pickering would hold on through a few more cautions while Hanson made his way up to challenge for the lead, but Pickering was able to hold him off. Barret got around Hanson for 2nd late. Chriswell challenged Hanson on the white flag lap for 3rd.

Sean Jones was majorly FAST in his heat race! Running the extreme high line in 3 and 4! If he could have ever got that thing to turn in turn 2, no telling how fast he could have been!He did a couple of wheelies off of turn 2 pedalling it to get it to turn!

Sean Jones and Claude Estes lead the field to the green flag with Estes grabbing the point. With Winnett running 2nd, the battle for 3rd between Jones, Fletcher, and D Estes was TIGHT! Jones car still seemed tight and he slipped back a few spots as the 1st caution came out on lap 6 when Chet Soto spun and stalled in the 3 and 4 turn.

On the restart going into 1 and 2, Sean Jones brought out the RED with a wild tumble! Jones was okay, and the car only seemed to recieve minor suspension and wing damage!

On this restart, Russ Fletcher quickly brought out the 3rd caution when he had something let go dropping fluid on the track as he coasted to a stop at the top of turn 4. Not sure if it was the motor or just a hose, but he was done for the night!

Back to green, Jim Gracy and Rodney Henderson banged wheels a few times down the front stretch but continued on. By lap 7 C Estes had nearly a full straight away on Winnett! D Estes moved up to challenge Winnett for 2nd, getting by on lap 10.

Lap 12 saw the 4th and final caution when Greg Snider spun and stalled in turn 3 and 4. On the restart the running order was C Estes, D Estes, Winnett, Wellborn, Reneau, Crenshaw, Baldecini?, Gracy, Doyle, Henderson, Wilson, Downing, Waller, Morgan, and Snider with lap cars of Byrum and Soto between the Estes brothers in 1st and 2nd.

C Estes jumped out to the lead again with D Estes getting around the lap cars to pull away with 2nd. By lap 13 C Estes had 1/2 straight away lead on D Estes! On lap 15 Soto had troubles and lost power. While coasting around the top of turn 4, he waited for the leader to go by and then tried to coast into the infield barely missing contact with 2nd place D Estes! Soto made it to the infield and Estes didn't miss a beat!

With C Estes in traffic and his rear brake rotor glowing, both seemingly slowing him down, D Estes ran him down, caught, and passed him on lap 18 in turn 2! The white flag lap saw contact between Downing and Doyle, causing Waller to spin to avoid contact with the two. Waller made it to the infield and Doyle and Downing continued and able to cross the line with out losing too much ground.

Daniel took the win coming from 6th, while Claude started 2nd and finished 2nd. Winnett started and finished 3rd. Wellborn came from 9th to finish 4th. Crenshaw rounded out the top 5 coming from 13th!

SLIDER Hard Charger Award goes to Jim Gracy who started 19th and finished 7th!
