VINTON, Iowa (April 11) – Fifteen Modified chassis builders will vie for national and regional honors, in IMCA’s inaugural Manufacturers Cup program.

Participating builders include Allen Autosports of Urbana, Mo.; Belleville, Kan., Motorsports; Big Dog Chassis of North Platte, Neb.; Billsbuilt Race Cars of Wichita, Kan.; Evolution Motorsports of Nevada, Mo.; GRT Race Cars of Greenbriar, Ark.; Harris Auto Racing of Boone; Hoffman Race Cars of Oronogo, Mo.; HOT Chassis of Alexandria, La.; Jet Racing of Beatrice, Neb.; Larry Shaw Race Cars of Batesville, Ark.; Sharp Racing Products of Amarillo, Texas; Skyrocket Chassis of Fertile; Taylor Chassis of Jonesboro, Ark.; and Victory Chassis of Ankeny.

A point system, based on top 10 drivers in final 2009 regional standings, will first be applied to name manufacturers of the year for the ButlerBuilt Western, Central, South Central, North Central and Eastern regions.

Point totals from the five regions will then be combined to determine the national manufacturer of the year.

All Manufacturers Cup awards will be presented during IMCA’s national awards banquet on Nov. 27 in Lincoln, Neb. The top builder receives a $500 cash prize and will be recognized in the December Inside IMCA newsletter.

“More different IMCA Modified chassis are seen in victory lane every season,” said IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder. “The Manufacturers Cup program is a great way for builders to promote themselves and their drivers. I expect a very diverse chassis representation in each of the five regions.”
