The 24 car, 25 lap SUPR Late Model A-Main started with Raymond Merrill and Ryan Plaisance on row 1. As the green flew it was Plaisance getting into turn 1 first. Caution was quickly out for Jay Blair who rolled to a stop. Coming to yellow the pack stacked up sending Donald Watson and Jim Burford spinning down the front stretch.

On the second try, Plaisance again got out front as Merrill and Tom Lorenz battled side by side for second, with three wide racing in the pack. Lorenz grabbed second and moved in on Plaisance, looking inside on lap 4. Lorenz snared the top spot on lap 5, while Doug Ingalls, Randy Timms, Ronny Adams and Garrett Durrett Slugged it out for fourth.

By lap 7, Kenny Merchant had moved into tenth from his tenth row start. Watson brought out the yellow on lap 7 when he broke and stopped on track. As green flew again Ingalls and Plaisance were door to door for third. Lap 8n saw Merrill move along side Lorenz for the lead, with Merrill getting the top spot on lap 9, with Ingalls closing in to join the fight.

Ingalls got past LOrenz and challenged Merrill for the lead running side by side on laps 11 and 12. Just as the race came to halfway, someone lost an air cleaner to bring out yellow on lap 12. Back under green Ingalls and Merrill resumed their scrum for the point. As the crossed flags were shown it was Ingalls, Merrill, Lorenz, Plaisance, Adams in the top five, with Merchant moving into sixth.

On lap 15 Merchant moved around Adams into fifth, as Ingalls got an eight car advantage over Merrill. Merchant and Adams caught Plaisance on lap 17 as the trio scrapped it out for fourth. Merchant snagged fourth a lap later. With five to go the top three were gapped out by about five car lengths. Merrill closed back in and looked inside Ingalls on lap 21, just as Timms broke the front suspension and rolled to a stop.

With the field bunched for a four lap shoot-out, the green flew, and Merchant snatched third from Lorenz. Plaisance's chances of a top finish ended on lap 22 when he slowed, collecting Adams and Rob Litton, to bring out the caution. Ingalls got a good jump on the restart getting away from Merrill, while Merchant and Lorenz battled for third. Ingalls would go on to grab the victory in his Nash Trucking/Marshall Lube & Auto/Sign Designs/Destroyer Chassis.
