Help with track purses.

The guns for hunting cost to much, the fishing rods and boats cost to much, the RC cars are way over priced. Any hobby that anyone every participates in are way to expensive.

the thing about fishing, you dont have to worry about changing your rod and reel or boat every year when rules change. lol plus you can catch just as many fish with a cane pole and a rent boat then the next guy who is using a $250 shimano and a $16,000 bass boat.

Definitive... I don't think its the winner that needs the help.. its the people outside the top 5 that need help..

and Helping the bottom helps the track in Pit passes & Grandstands.. (Friends/Family/Crew)

Because its close to home and not to call out THR.. using my experience with the Thunderstocks.

Weekly Cost's

Pit Pass for 3 - $75

Car Fuel - $78

Haul Fuel - $40

1 tire a week - $125

Just to get to the track and race = $318

Purse pays

$250 Feature, 20 Heat = $270 to win both.

5th Feature, Pays $65

Aaron,That is why I suggested paying it out evenly to every driver that participated that evening, not just the winner.Everyone knows the winners tend to already have the sponsorships anyway.

Do the winners have sponsorship because they win, or do they win because they went out and hustled up sponsorship?

I know of a man who puts together a mean marketing package and can talk with the best of potential sponsors. Oh, he writes some mean press releases also and has been known to get an article or two in newspapers.... :)

Anyone interest PM me, oh he is pretty reasonable too!!!!!!!!

well if you want to buy a fancy yacht then i guess 50 grand should be good. lol give me an aluminum jon boat and a bg15 and i am happy. lol. fish dont know what kind of rod and reel or boat it is that is reeling them in. lol i guess it is like racing in that sense. a guy can go out and win races with an open trailer and simple car that handles good just the same as the guy who buys the huge hauler and shiny car with the fancy graphics. lol. just have to know what to do with what you have i guess.

Isn't that like little league where you play baseball, but don't keep score, everyone wins???

We have one vote for socialistic motorsports...LOL

lol...on the surface that would appear correct Jim...but I am talking about donations....not take from the rich and give to the poor...

It would be socialism if we all allocated the funds to a certain racer and another entity took those funds and redistributed them.

It would be more socialistic if the track decided the purse paid the same from top to bottom....where would be the insentive to perform then?

Besides...my original sugesstion of fans paying extra(on their own) at the ticket booth could be paid out on the same percentage basis as the track's current purses. My only worry is over the transpearancy of that money as pertaining to it's destination.Kind of like our property taxes going to education....lol

I'm sure the track is on the up and up...the transpearancy factor is in relation to whether people would actually donate extra. If there is any dought, they may not donate.

There again, this is all just a matter of tossing around ideas....and it's cool to see some are doing just that.
