Montgomery Motorhead
Within just one year three long time great asphalt tracks are being demolished. San Antonio Speedway, Lakeland USA Speedway, and Birmingham Int. Raceway..........What is happening to our short track asphalt racing? This is extremely disturbing to see something like this happen.................In another year or two the great Nashville Fairgrounds track will be demolished. Seems that all of these old tracks mean very little to the people that run the city government in these cities. There are plenty of racing fans that grew up from just a kid to an elderly adult and have been supporting these racetracks their entire life and now all of a sudden they are to be demolished............This is just so sad. Definitive
It sounds like doom and gloom...but realistically....all motorsports is on the way out....some just aren't showing the signs yet...but this isn't a sport that can survive in the new world that is unfolding....no polution/no noise/no oil/electric cars/government run everything/people living like robots with no spending capital....enjoy what we have left of racing....while it lasts..... Some people will look at 16 TSRS cars as a small field....I will be thinking....thank god these guys showed up.....it could be a lot worse.
