Huge Texas dirt track event coming soon!

The 4/10th mile clay oval track with it's twelve degree banking, seventy foot wide straights and eighty foot wide corners all deliver some great racing at what may very well be one of the finest clay oval tracks in the nation. It is all located at Texas Motor Speedway along I-35W just a few miles north of Ft Worth Texas. With a grandstand capacity of over 11,000 and it's huge pit area, both racers and fans will not have a problem staking claim to their favorite spot at Texas Motor Speedway, who will play host to the World Dirt Track Championships event.

 

SUPR Late Models. non sanctioned Modifieds and Limited Modifieds is expected to come from no less than ten states for the February 26th-28th, 2009 event. Full event details are available at www.texasmotorspeedway.com . Click on "DIRT TRACK" that is located on the side bar of your screen to get to the dirt track main page.

 

ALL RACERS that enter the event are asked to go to www.track-announcer.com/profiles.htm and complete a driver profile form for the use of the event announcer and media use.

storm......Here's the latest info I've seen;

Hopefully they(TMS) are trying to secure a last minute sponsor that will offer free tix, like Pro Cuts and TETCO did for the other recent dirt track shows.

 

 

Texas Motor Speedway World Dirt Track Championships Information.

 

THURSDAY:

Thursday, February 26th. Gates open at Noon. Registration - 3:00pm. Practice - 5:00pm

 

FRIDAY:

Gates open at Noon. Registration - 3:00pm. Practice - 5:00pm. Racing - 6:00pm

 

SATURDAY:

Gates open at Noon. Registration - 3:00pm. Practice - 5:00pm. Racing - 6:00pm

 

DRIVER PROFILES:

All drivers in all race divisions are asked to complete a driver profile at www.racefeature.com . Click on ""DRIVER PROFILES"" to complete a driver profile form. Click on "SEND" and the driver profile will automatically be sent for the use of the raceway announcer and media members.

 

CREDENTIALS:

Registration will take place at trailers located outside pit gate. Do not go to credentials building.

 

PAVED PIT PARKING:

Pre-stage parking will be conducted in the manner of staged along ring road starting north of pit gate

The paved pit area will be paid, reserved pit spaces. $100 per pit space to the first 120 entries that wish to purchase. One space per registered car.

 

OPTIONAL FREE PIT PARKING:

Grass lot across from pit area. If wet, grandstand side paved parking lot will be provided.

 

Saving pit spaces. The pit area will be loaded as the haulers are staged outside the pit area. If you want to pit next to another competitor, you must be in line together prior to entering the pit area, no exceptions. Pre-staging for pit entrance will be on the TMS ring road located between the two pit areas. No saving spaced allowed. One space per registered car.

 

PRACTICE:

Practice will be held on Thursday, Feb 26th. Gates open at 3:00pm Practice starts at 5:00pm. A $50.00 fee is applied for each car only. NO PIT PASS FEE'S applied per person on Thursday’s practice day only.

 

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:

Un-sanctioned event. No special license required for either modified division.

 

DRIVER AGE REQUIREMENTS:

All drivers must be 14 when entering the event.

 

ENTRY FEE'S:

Pre Entry deadline, February 15th, 2009

Modifieds $100.00

Limited Modifieds $75

Late Models ( Friday )$75.00 ( No pre-entry fee for Late Models ) Saturday Late Model entry fee.$100.00

Late entries after February 16th

Modifieds $135.00

Limited Modifieds $110.00

 

 

GRANDSTAND AREA PARKING:

$5.00 for parking. We will have free competitor passenger car parking in the RV lot.

 

GRANDSTAND'S OPEN AT:

The grandstand area will open at 5:00pm on Friday and Saturday only. This will allow fans to see practice sessions. on Thursday ONLY, fans can enter the pit area free of charge during practice sessions.

 

ITEMS ALLOWED IN GRANDSTAND AREA:

Chairs and blankets, No Coolers.

 

HANDICAP ACCESS:

Complete handicap access to grandstands and handicap parking provided.

 

BEER SALES:

Beer will be sold in the grandstands area.

landlord, have you guys filled out a driver profile sheet for (Doug) Track Announcer? That way he'll have all the info needed when you win.....plus he uses it during heats/b'mains.

 

Cool deal you bringing one of Dean's cars for Eddie......He's a class act!!!!

 

Are those Dust Devils the two Bridwell cars for Paul White? ........or some other drivers?

I did sign in.I'm not sure whos driving the dust devils but were told that they are going!!!!The ice storm shut Eddie down for awhile and he could'nt get our new car ready so Dean will have to drive his car from last year that I just bought(yikes) :blink: for my son with the #44 on it.Thats cool though because we are going to be doging his motor out tommorow at cleveland. ;):P
