(Oct. 1) – Two features for IMCA Modifieds > headline Ocean Speedway’s Western Region Nationals on Friday and > Saturday, Oct. 3-4. > > Both races will be qualifying events for the Fast Shafts All-Star > Invitational ballot, with $2,000 paid to win on opening night and > $3,000 paid to win on night two. > > Friday’s feature pays a minimum of $200 to start. The Saturday show > pays a minimum of $300. Heat races, a fast dash and a main event are > on each evening’s program. > > Pit gates open at 1 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 4 p.m. both > days. Drivers’ meetings are at 4:45 p.m. with hot laps at 5:30 p.m. > and racing to follow. > > Transponders are required and will be available to rent for $20 a > day. Entry fee is $100 for one day or $150 for both days and includes > the driver’s pit pass. > > Grandstand admission is $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and $8 for > kids 6-12, with five and under admitted free.
