rebelracewriter
TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY GOES BIG WITH JUMBO EVENT VIDEO FORT WORTH-DALLAS (March 11, 2003) - Just when you thought you had seen it all at Texas Motor Speedway, now you will be able to see it BIGGER! Thanks to a new partnership between the speedway and GoVision of Keller, Texas, fans coming to the races this year will be able to view the race action on giant video screens at the track. "This new service will be a great attraction for our fans," speedway general manager Eddie Gossage said. "GoVision provides a state-of-the-art presentation that is second to none in the industry. This just adds to the great racing atmosphere on race day." GoVision will have two custom-built mobile units at the speedway displaying the race action. The trucks feature 9 by 16 foot LED screens that are visible in daylight or dark. The screens can be raised 15 feet and can rotate 360 degrees. GoVision will make its speedway debut at Texas Motor Speedway during RPM Week-Texas, March 27-30, during which time the first truck will be located near the scoring tower in turn one and the second truck will be located on lower pit road near the HCA Infield Care Center. One of those trucks will then move to the Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track between turn three and four for both nights of the O'Reilly World of Outlaws sprint car races on Friday (March 28) and Saturday (March 29). "We are excited to be associated with Texas Motor Speedway," GoVision president Chris Curtis said. "We are a local company and feel this is a tremendous opportunity for us. I think the fans will really like what they see this year." GoVision will return for the June 5-7 Indy Racing League and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races. The jumbo screen video trucks will also be on site for the season finale races during the Oct. 10-12 Chevy 500k IRL weekend as well as the sprint car races at the Dirt Track that weekend.
