rebelracewriter
I got this e-mail from my good friend who does the videos at Houston Raceway Park....got a kick out of his line.....But the sprints are running this weekend.....a true race fan..... Yea, the storm got us…no power (13 days now) …just got the phone back...we got the water back (17 th.)…fence blown down…trees are all a mess…etc. but the sprints are racing this weekend!! Even if they have to use generators at HRP (no power). The track was a mess...the pit grandstands were blown through the back-straightaway fence…windows blown out…etc. My camping skills are coming back…we have the coleman lanterns going…fire pit going…we cook on the outside grill or BBQ pit…sleeping is a real trick…we have to use a flash light where ever you go in the house…kicked my toe on a chair the other night and I went down like a sack of door knobs skimming every four letter word I could come up with. blueoval
Lived on the Bay, lost my house, all the contents and the facilities I worked at. Still dont have power have spent about 400.00 on generator gas so far. Had about a 25 foot storm surge.
PAPA
blueoval I'm very sorry to hear about your lose. Is there ANYTHING we here on txsz can do to help?
blueoval
I appreciate that but we are a-ok. We were much luckier than a lot of people who lost their life around here.
