2009 Point Fund for Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car Series is Set

 

Lonnie Wheatley, TULSA, Okla. (September 3, 2008) – The breakdown of the lucrative $250,000 point fund for the Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car Dirt Series presented by K&N Filters for the 2009 season has been determined.

 

 

 

And, at next season's end, the Lucas Oil Sprint Car Series champion will collect the $60,000 championship share, with the top ten in final points each earning a minimum of $10,000 and 15th in points collecting $5,000.

 

 

 

"This distribution of the quarter of a million dollar point fund makes for a very substantial season-ending payout to each of the top fifteen teams that support the series over the entire year," commented ASCS President and Founder Emmett Hahn.

 

 

 

"This point fund combined with the standard one-night purse of $6,000 to win and $500 to start along with the tow money package will establish the Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car Dirt Series presented by K&N Filters as the most attractive touring Sprint Car series in the nation from a financial standpoint."

 

 

 

The complete breakdown of the 2009 point fund for the Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car Dirt Series presented by K&N Filters is as follows: 1st - $60,000; 2nd - $30,000; 3rd - $25,000; 4th - $22,000; 5th - $18,000; 6th - $16,000; 7th - $14,000; 8th - $12,000; 9th - $11,000; 10th - $10,000; 11th - $8,500; 12th - $7,000; 13th - $6,000; 14th - $5,500, 15th - $5,000.
