9-11 Tribute @ Cowtown Speedway 9/6/08

Recommended Posts

Each year, the staff at Cowtown Speedway pays tribute to those fallen and affected by the tragic events of September 11, 2001.

And for this year's 9/11 Memorial event at Cowtown, Saturday September, 6; the track has added even more special attractions.

The event kick-off is set for 6:45pm sharp, and the track asks that all spectators be seated by that time. During the next few minutes, a special and fitting opening ceremony will take place.

While the opening ceremony is taking place, there will be a brief period of time that grandstand admittance will be closed, due to safety reasons and for consideration of spectators already in the grandstands.

The highlight of the evening will be the 9/11 Memorial presentation that will be shown on three giant screens. Track Manager, Michelle Rawdon, has put together a moving and patriotic video tribute and fireworks, sure to make you proud to be an American.

To commemorate the event, special t-shirts and Memorial presentation DVD's will be available for purchase.

There will be a full night of racing, featuring the Cowtown Modifieds, Winged 600's, LSDCC.com Dwarf Cars, Limited Modifieds, Street Stocks and Bombers. There will also be an exhibition race for the Cowtown Go-Karts.

Cowtown Speedway would like to thank the long list of sponsors, and their support has brought this event into a reality.

Adult grandstand tickets are $15, and youth/kid prices remain at $5 and $2. Advance tickets are available by clicking www.CowtownSpeedway.com and there is no added convenience charge for online purchases. Tickets will also be available at the gate for cash purchase.

We hope to see you this Saturday night at the 9/11 Memorial event for a night of patriotism and racing action at the Fastest Lilʼ Dirt Track In Texas, Cowtown Speedway.
