rebelracewriter
ASCS Texas Shuffle; Devil's Bowl Rained Out & Cowtown Added TULSA, Okla. (August 21, 2008) – Mother Nature has already forced her hand, altering at least a portion of this weekend's American Sprint Car Series Regional action in Texas with the Devil's Bowl event succumbing to weather and a Cowtown card added in its place. Heavy rain throughout the week has forced the cancellation of Saturday night's Sixth Annual ASCS Gulf South vs. Sooner Region Shootout at Devil's Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, TX. Friday's scheduled card at Waco's Heart O' Texas Speedway is still on, however it will now be an ASCS Gulf South Regional event ONLY rather than a combined Gulf South vs. Sooner Shootout. Friday's ASCS Gulf South Region action at Heart O' Texas Speedway, which still offers a $2,000 winner's share, goes green at 8:00 p.m. Filling the Saturday night slot to round out the weekend will now be an ASCS Gulf South Region event at Cowtown Speedway in Kennedale, TX, offering the standard ASCS Gulf South purse that includes $1,500 to win and $250 to start. Saturday's action at Cowtown Speedway will go green at 7:00 p.m. The next scheduled event for the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region is at Cowtown Speedway on September 13.
