Sellers Scores ASCS Sooner Win at Lawton

 

 

Lonnie Wheatley, LAWTON, Okla. (August 16, 2008) – Robert Sellers added his first American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region win since 2001 by topping Saturday night's 25-lap feature at Lawton Speedway.

 

 

 

Sellers took advantage of a last-lap miscue by past series champion Kevin Ramey to deliver the first Sooner Region feature win to veteran Sooner Region car owner Ronnie Davis.

 

 

 

Ramey held the point until tripping over the turn four cushion on the final circuit and getting upside down, handing the lead over to Sellers.

 

 

 

After fifth-runner Matt Covington flipped on the attempted green-white-checker run, Sellers held on after the final restart to secure the win in front of Terry Gray, Danny Jennings, Zach Chappell and Eric Baldaccini.
