FORT WORTH-DALLAS (January 8, 2004) - Texas Motor Speedway today announced Pro-Cuts will sponsor the March 5-6 Pro-Cuts Texas World Dirt Track Championship at the Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track. Tickets to the inaugural event will be free to fans with a qualifying purchase at Pro-Cuts.

The Pro-Cuts Texas World Dirt Track Championship will feature the O’Reilly Southern United Professional Racing (SUPR) late models and IMCA-type modified stock cars.

A pair of free grandstand tickets to one night of racing, a $40 value, will be available to fans with any purchase of $15 or more at any of the 93 participating Pro-Cuts locations in the Fort Worth-Dallas area. As the event sponsor, Pro-Cuts will be the exclusive source for free advance tickets to the Pro-Cuts Texas World Dirt Track Championship. The free tickets will be available beginning in February.

“We are excited to partner with Texas Motor Speedway to offer race fans free tickets to this innovative event,” said Mark Christenson, Brand Director for Pro-Cuts. “We invite all race fans to stop by their neighborhood Pro-Cuts for a terrific haircut, the best in professional haircare products, and a free pair of race tickets.”

Full programs in both divisions will be presented nightly. The winners of Saturday night’s O’Reilly SUPR late model and IMCA-type modified features will collect $2,500 each.

“The Pro-Cuts Texas World Dirt Track Championship will feature the best late model drivers from the area and determine a true Texas modified champion,” said speedway general manager Eddie Gossage. “Only in Texas could fans see such top-flite dirt track racing and do it for free, compliments of Pro-Cuts.”

Rules for the modified portion of the Pro-Cuts Texas World Dirt Track Championship will be available soon. For more information on the O’Reilly SUPR late models, contact Greg Holmes at (225) 275-5040.
