MatKam10
Here's the situation. I have been running a stock cast iron intake on my motor, and just recently put a Performer. My carb just does not sound like it is giving it enough fuel. Do you have to change the jets when swapping intakes like that?
Truck99
What exactly do you mean when you say it sounds like it's not getting enough fuel? When we tried that intake one year from our cast iron, I made no jet changes and it performed well. Are you sure you don't have a slight vacuum leak at the intake? poorboy
No jet change needed at all. Check for vacuum leaks.

jakdad
Lets add this to the mix. Depending on your cam specs and cylinder heads, the aluminum intake may be flowing better or more air. This would indeed call for larger jetting. Don't make a 3 or 4 number jump. Maybe 2 numbers larger to see if it helps. I suggest making one change to the car to try it. If you cnange tire sizes, gear ratios, transmissions, etc. then you wont get an accurate idea on the jet change. Good luck.
