In a battle for second, Jason Gauntt topped another Elm Mott driver, Tommy Kirkpatrick. Keith Green from Robinson withstood a mid race challenge from P.J. Egbert of Copperas Cove to win the I.M.C.A. modified feature. Pat McGuire from Belton claimed second place, while Andrew Simmerman from Evant raced to third. Keith White from Academy made it two in a row by winning the I.M.C.A. SportMod feature. Brandon Stewart, also from Academy, and Kevin Green from Robinson followed in second and third. Ryan Ellis from Killeen won a tight I.M.C.A. hobby stock feature trailed closely by Shannon Dulock from Axtell and Jeremy Hendrix from Robinson. Melvin Kemp Jr. from Waco picked up another pure stock feature win with fellow Wacoans Jeff Shepperd and Timmy Kemp close behind. After the disqualification of the winner, Martin Quiram from Hubbard advanced to first place in the cruiser feature. Jeremy Knight from Waco moved to second and Justin Bailey from Mt. Calm to third. Amerin Balleridge from Joshua broke China Spring native Garret Rawls’ domination of the junior mini stock class with his feature win. Jordan Kornegay from China Spring and Alex Norris from Elm Mott rounded out the top three in this class. David Williams won the Texas Winged Modified feature followed by Nick Cooper and Charlie Williams. Next Friday night the Brazos Mini Sprints will make a return appearance along with the I.M.C.A. modifieds, I.M.C.A. SportMods, I.M.C.A. hobby stocks, street stocks, pure stocks, cruisers, and junior mini stocks. Gates open at 6:00 P.M. and races begin at 8:00 P.M.
