SLATE SET FOR MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND @ LCS

Memorial Day weekend is fast approaching for the Young Guns. Preparations are on going to insure this be one of the best Young Guns events so far. Ronny Gould, LCS Promoter, has a heck of a show planned for May 29th. On the card along with YGS, also in attendance is the Sprint Series of Texas, Factory Stocks, Hobby Stocks, Late Models, LCS Tornado's, IMCA Sport Mods, and Modifieds.

 

In two YGS events so far this year provided some great racing with Lil Rusty Trevathan taking Cowtown in fine fashion, and, Shelby Williams backing up his 2nd place finish at Cowtown with a good run to the checkers at Paris Motor Speedway. The weekly racing season has begun in full force around the local tracks with several YGS regulars taking multiple A-main wins. Dustin Mooney has started his season off with 4 in a row at Thunderbird, Zach Crawford taking 3 main event wins at Superbowl, past YGS feature winner Devin Burgess has 2 wins at Kennedale Speedway Park, and, two different winners at Grayson County Speedway, Mitchell Clement & Chance Whitworth.

 

Added to the LCS program will be a Race of Champions for the top 6 in YGS points, driving in Tornado Cars provided by LCS racers. Set to start that race is points leader Shelby Williams, Chance Whitworth (GCS), Dustin Mooney (Tbird), Tyler Plum (GCS), Devin Burgess (KSP), Brandon Ruffin (Superbowl). Knowing that a couple may not attend, drivers that have supported the series will be drawn for any position not filled up to the 6 starting spots.

 

Lake Country Speedway is located about 24 miles north of the TX state line, on HWY 77. Mark your calenders to join us for this event. YGS registration required.
