D&M Performance is first contingency

award sponsor for SportMod division

DUMAS, Texas (Dec. 9) – D&M Performance is the first I.M.C.A. sponsor to

announce it will award contingencies to SportMod drivers next season.

The new division debuts in 2004. D&M, which will also continue its title

sponsorship of the Western Region for Modifieds, will award a $100 product

certificate to each SportMod track champion.

“Not only is the SportMod division taking off, but the Western Region for

Modifieds continues to grow as well,” I.M.C.A. Marketing Director Kevin Yoder

said. “D&M Performance is helping us make both of those possible through their

support. The D&M sponsorship has been very important to I.M.C.A. and our member

drivers and we look forward to continuing a mutually beneficial relationship.”

D&M has sponsored the Western Region since 2001 and will furnish the $2,500

to be paid out to the top five drivers in final point standings for 2004.

The regional champion earns $1,000, with $700 going to the runner-up. Third

place is worth $400 while both the fourth- and fifth-place drivers receive $200.

Points earned at sanctioned events in Arizona, California, Washington,

Ore-gon and Nevada will be used in figuring point standings. Drivers competing

in the Western Region are required to compete with two D&M Performance decals on

their race cars to be eligible for any por-tion of the fund
