Egbert from Copperas Cove and Keith Green from Robinson staged a heated battle in the late stages of the I.M.C.A. modified feature. Egbert took home the top prize while Green finished in third after Kenny Stone from Troy sneaked into second place. Greg Atwood from Georgetown won the I.M.C.A. SportMod feature chased by the Green brothers from Robinson. T.J. picked up a second place win and Kevin followed his big brother in third. Michael Robertson from McGregor had control of the I.M.C.A. hobby stock feature reached the checkered flag ahead of Shannon Dulock from Axtell and Charles Cosper from Belton. The fast and furious Cowtown/Heart O’ Texas Mini Sprints Shootout was won by college coed, Sasha Sessums from Burleson. Taylor Smitherman from Kennedale zipped to second, and Sessums’ brother, Jeb, ran third. The second leg of the Shootout will be at Cowtown Speedway. Tommy Kirkpatrick from Elm Mott took the lead on the last lap of the street stock feature when the two leaders went out. Paul Bolfing and Ed Thompson, both from Waco, came in second and third. Waco driver Timmy Kemp continued his winning ways after taking over the lead from Marshall Sauseda, who led most of the race, in the pure stock feature. Jeff Shepperd was second. Sauseda ended up in third. William Dean from Elm Mott, crossed the finish line ahead of Joan Jenkins and Russell Bullock, both from Waco, in the cruiser feature. Garett Rawls from China Spring collected his third winner’s trophy in a row in the junior mini stock feature. Jordan Korngay and Alex Norris were second and third. The ASCS Sooner Region sprints and the Texas Winged Modifieds will be visiting the Speedway next Friday night. I.M.C.A. modifieds, I.M.C.A. SportMods, and I.M.C.A. hobby stocks will be running both heats and features. Street stocks, pure stocks, cruisers, and junior mini stocks will run features only.
