HISTORY LESSON. In 1923, who was:

1. President of the largest steel company?

2. President of the largest gas company?

3. President of the New York Stock Exchange?

4. Greatest wheat speculator?

5. President of the Bank of International Settlement?

6. Great Bear of Wall Street?

These men were considered some of the world's most successful of their

day.

Now, 80 years later, the history book asks us, if we know what

ultimately became of them.

The answers:

1. The president of the largest steel company, Charles Schwab, died a

pauper.

2. The president of the largest gas company, Edward Hopson, went insane.

3. The president of the NYSE, Richard Whitney, was released from prison

to die at home.

4. The greatest wheat speculator, Arthur Cooger, died abroad, penniless.

5. The president of the Bank of International Settlement, shot himself.

6. The Great Bear of Wall Street, Cosabee Livermore, also committed

suicide.

However, in that same year, 1923, the Racing Champion and the winner of the

most important auto race, the Indianapolis 500, was Tommy Milton.

What became of him?

He raced until he was 50, died in 1962 at the age of 95. He was

financially secure at the time of his death, having won what would equate to

$14,500,000 today

The moral: Screw work. Race cars

Youch, that one hurt...I got enough stuff going on that reminds me how old I'm getting.....

By the way, I found this and thought I'd share it.

Here is Jason and a buddy all decked out for a night on the town.....

Seems since he graduated High School, he has gone for a more mature and grown up look.....

Jason-

44SS gave me that picture of you and HIM going out on the town somewhere.

And 44SS, I'm sure your crack is in reference to Mobile, trying to read that menu....these restaurants gotta start using more light, those 5-watt bulbs don't cut it!

Whattya think about this portable blender I found, powered by a 2-stroke weedeater motor, adjustable throttle and all......

that taller bottle is the "fuel jug"--ya gotta keep enough gas around to get you through the night!

Yeah, I can just see trying to explain this contraption to some cop at 3:00 AM on the way home from the track........
