Pacecar
Let us know how Newton Barta Jr. is doing to try to qualify for the big race. I believe he is driving Ray Doyan's modified. A couple of years ago, I went to McAllen and watched the whole series of racing from Thursday's and Friday's qualifiers to Saturday features. There were 120+ modifieds trying to make the "A" main for Saturday nite. They have a very interesting format for determining the lineups for each nite's heat races and nightly features. It is unbelievable how much hard racing goes into just qualifying. This is some of the best racing you'll ever see in Texas. All the big names from out-of-state are there. Put it on your schedule to watch the races down there for next year. In year's past, the race was scheduled after Thanksgiving. Looks like they moved it in front of Thanksgiving. SASPEEDRACER24
Both Gator Dodson and Newton were announced driving the X car... I am not sure who was driving it I couldnt hear the announcing from the infield... He ran good for most of the night though was getting beat on the restarts... He finished second or third in his heat but fell back some in the C Main... Marc
