rebelracewriter
Contact: Sarona Winfrey Brian Briscoe -- For Immediate Release -- NEW BUS SERVICE TO BE PROVIDED FOR TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY EVENTS FORT WORTH-DALLAS (Nov. 18, 2003) -The Fort Worth Transportation Authority and Texas Motor Speedway today announced new bus service for the Samsung/RadioShack 500 weekend in 2004. The new "Victory Lane Express" will be available to fans for the O'Reilly 300 NASCAR Busch Series race on Saturday, April 3, 2004 and the Samsung/RadioShack 500 NASCAR Nextel Cup Series race on Sunday, April 4, 2004. "We are pleased to be working with the T on this service for our fans," said speedway general manager Eddie Gossage. "The question of available bus service is one of the most common ones we receive during Samsung/RadioShack 500 weekend. This will be a great service for our fans and we strongly encourage them to utilize it." Fans will park at a remote location and ride the Victory Lane Express busses to the speedway. All Victory Lane Express passengers will be dropped off and picked up in the speedway's bus parking area located just off SH 114 and Allison Ave on the south side of the speedway. The remote pick up location and cost of the service is yet to be determined. "We are thrilled to offer shuttle service to the NASCAR races next year," said Dick Ruddell, T President and Executive Director. "This service will provide an inexpensive and convenient alternative for those who don't want to fight the traffic going to and from the race." "Our bus parking is in a great location," said Gossage. "Setting right off highway 114, it's one of the quickest ways off the property following a race event. We know that this is a valuable service and expect that many fans will take advantage of it."
