I'm in the market for a better suit (a SFI-5 instead of my SFI-1) and they seem to have the most bang for the buck. I don't want a cheap suit but I also don't want to pay extra for a "Name". safety1 Posted December 31, 2007 Report Share Posted December 31, 2007 Like has already been said make sure you are getting nomex and not FR cotton or similar material. Even if you go with a single layer nomex spend the extra to get the underwear to go with it. Remember that you are protecting the most valuable part of your car with this suit. Same goes for gloves, hood, shoes etc.. I cant say enough how important it is to wear the right safety equipment when you are racing....You never know when trouble will strike.
