TRACK ANNOUNCER
The Pro Cuts World Dirt Track Championships event will be held on it's same date as it has been in the past. Feb 27th, Practice / Registration Feb 28th, Practice / Qualifiers Feb 29th, Practice / Qualifiers March 1st Practice / Qualifiers - Mains The SUPR Late Models will run in the IMCA Lone Star Nationals event in the fall. The Sprint Series of Texas will NOT be on the show card in 2008. There was talk of moving the two shows to opposite dates to accomodate a SMALL group of protesters by some IMCA tracks that did not like the TMS special event shows that hosted IMCA racing at the dirt track facilities. Everything will remain the same except the moving of the SUPR series event to the fall show and replacing the Late Models with Limited Modifieds. The Pro Cuts event will host this year the Outlaw style Modifieds and add the Limited Modifieds to the Pro Cuts show card. This may be a good move. I expect about 200-250 total entries for the Pro Cuts event. The weather in the past has been VERY cold. Mother natures streak of cold weather will eventually break and we expect good weather this time around. The very least, SOME warmer weather. There is much more information that you can find at the below sources. There you will find information that is not available at the TMS web site. The below web site will be the major provider of the 2008 Pro Cuts World Dirt Track Championships information source. http://track-announcer.com/b2evolution/ind...sts&paged=2 CLICK ON THIS^^^^^^ http://www.track-announcer.com/photos4.htm Click on this^^^^^ to see some photo's of Texas Motor Speedway's Dirt Track's last fall event.
