quadsquad
Saw some discussion and pics of the Checkerboard Offy in an earlier thread. Thought I'd try to post detail shots to give some indication of the quality of the job Bill Jones did on a car he picked up literally in baskets. Lee Flowers was the driver when it first came down from Michigan, by the way. After the second big wreck, it was painted white. Bill will tell you Denny Moore and Jerry Weeks had an awful lot to do with the restoration, while the paint job was done in Tulsa. That alone took about two weeks. The engine is a 90 CI Offy and it does run. Notice the twine-wrapped steering wheel.
zoom
Oh my that is so sweet. Can the car have visitors to come admire the workmanship and engineering?
