Davis Does It in ASCS Canyon Region Season Finale

 

 

Lonnie Wheatley, CASA GRANDE, Ariz. (October 27, 2007) – Charles Davis, Jr., captured his sixth American Sprint Car Series Canyon Region feature win of the year as the series put the wraps on the 2007 season with Saturday night's 30-lap feature event at Central Arizona Raceway.

 

 

 

Davis drove Jim Massey's Arizona Race Mart No. 50 DRC-chassis to victory lane in front of Jeremy Sherman, who claimed the inaugural ASCS Canyon Region championship with a 159-point advantage over Davis.

 

 

 

Fifteen-year-old Chad Boat claimed the show position in the season finale, with R.J. Johnson and Josh Pelkey rounding out the top five. Mike Leslie was sixth, while 18-year-old rookie shoe Jeremy Reagles cracked the top ten in final points with a seventh place finish. Justin Fisher, Shon Deskins and Mike Martin completed the top ten.

 

 

 

Boat, Bobby Taylor and Bernie Smith topped heat race action.
