rebelracewriter
The 20 car IMCA Stock main was led to green by Jeff Turner and JW Johnson. Before a lap was completed, Kelly Sheen rolled to stop to bring about a complete restart. On the second try Turner grabbed the point as the top four moved away from thye field. The caution flew on lap 2 when Ted Boetcher hit an infield tire, with Sheen getting high-centered on top of it. As the green came back on the top four edged ahead again, and by lap 5 Turner was stretching his lead. Tim Pyle tried to get by JW Johnson for third, but was unable to get around. Chad Dalan, slowly closed the big on Turner, but never got close enough to challenge. At the mid point it was Turner, Dalan, JW Johnson, Pyle and Richard Brown in the top five. With Turner and Dalan way ahead, third through eighth had a good battle going on as they ran nose to tail. With five to go Turner had a ten car length lead over Dalan, who had nearly a full straightaway over JW Johnson, Pyle, Brown, Dustin Locke, Tosha McNeil and Kenneth Imler. Turner ran into heavy traffic with three to go, but made quick work of it and increased his lead. At the checkers it was Turner in the B and B Concrete/Turnerator Chassis taking the win.
