By Team Dover Media Relations

SPRINGFIELD, Neb. (September 12, 2007) -- Seventeen-year-old Nebraska sprint car racer Jack Dover has secured his invitation to the ASCS / Wesmar Challenge following last Friday night's ASCS Midwest Region event at US 36 Raceway in Osborn, MO. Dover raced from the 13th starting spot in the A feature to a solid second place finish on the high-banked 3/8 mile oval.

The 25-lap feature at US 36 was plagued with multipule yellow and red flags. Throughout the feature Dover stayed out of trouble and moved forward in the field, taking the runner-up spot from 2006 ASCS Midwest champion Toby Chapman on the final lap.

The ASCS / Wesmar Challenge will be held at Devil's Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, TX, on October 13, the final night of the 34th Annual O'Reilly Winter Nationals. The top two point earners from each ASCS Region along with the top O'Reilly ASCoT National competitors will battle it out for a new Wesmar Racing Engine.

Team Dover would like to thank all their 2007 Sponsors: 3 D Auto Transport, Inc. Trail Performance Powder Coating, Keizer Aluminum Wheels, Eckley Racing Engines, Eagle Chassis, Langfelt Overhead Doors, Thorpes Body Shop, RMS, Chad Nolte Repair, NOS Energy Drink and Culver Construction.
