Longhorn from the early 80's

Here are some pics from the 80's see if you can guess the drivers. These cars are from the Street Stock class that eventually turned into the super stock class. I tried to post some different views. The last Picture is a meeting of the CARA Capital Area Racing Association. This picture is of the board members. The meeting was at Hill's cafe if memory serves me right.

 

I will post more later. Have to get my race car ready for tonight.

looks like Ron Kinney in 34, Steve E in the 40, I don't remember who drove the team car 4.

Jerry Grant in 81 pre-TWS. Dennis Roberts #1, Chuck in his 14 and maybe Ken Leathers in 27.

Was that about 1982?

#4 is phillipe cook and yeah it had to be late 82 or start of 83 was no later than first half of 83 and that is kirt christianson in the 28

Those pics are early 1983.

Ol' Red didn't look that good in '82. (The #81). When Mac and Jerry agreed to join up, we spent so much time converting the car from a Street to a Hobby stock, we really only put the sheetmetal on it, It did not get cleaned up and painted until the winter when Elmo over in Oak Hill painted it.
