(July 22) – Summit Raceway will hold its twin 30 lap Pot-O- Gold special on Friday, Aug. 3. IMCA Modifieds will run the first 30 circuits before a short break, then complete the second half of the feature. Thirty or more entries will put first place money at a minimum of $1,500, which would make the event a qualfier for the 2008 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. National, SuperFlow Western Region, Smiley’s Racing Products state and local track points will be awarded. Gates at Elko open at 3 p.m., hot laps are at 6 p.m. and racing starts at 6:30 p.m. Grandstand admission is $10 for adults and $5 for seniors and students ages 13-17, with 12 and under free. Pit passes are $25.
