rebelracewriter
From, KBTX.com 10/01/2003 Fatal Accident A Bryan man is dead after flipping his truck on OSR. Emergency crews arrived on the scene near FM 46 four miles west of Wheelock around 8:30 Tuesday night. State troopers say 48-year-old Jody Peel of Bryan was negotiating a curve when his truck ran off the road. He reportedly overcorrected, traveled back across the road, and his truck flipped. Peel was thrown from the truck and died at the scene. Officials say Peel was not wearing a seatbelt. The accident remains under investigation. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ For those of you that didn't know him, he was at one time the Promoter for Battleground Spwy. as well as being a racer. He lately had been driving the #68 modified in the Houston area. Though I didn't know him well, I met him a couple times while covering shows at Battleground, he was always helpful and a pleasure to be around. My heart felt condolences go out to the Peel family. blueoval
Jody was always willing to help others. I remember several instances at the racetrack when Jody helped me out many of times with needed parts. He will be missed and my prayers are with the entire Peel family.
