The O’Reilly Auto Parts Thunder Jam presented by Torco Racing Fuels and 1-800 SAFE AUTO arrives at San Antonio Raceway Saturday, June 30 with the main show kicking off at 8 p.m. A great value for families, kids (12 and under) get in free when adults purchase an advance ticket at participating O’Reilly Auto Parts stores. The line-up includes: “Benny the Bomb”: as seen on David Letterman’s “Late Show,” he’ll blow himself up and escape from a burning car The flame-throwing jet-powered Dodge Ram pick-up truck The world’s only jet-powered outhouse, as seen on national television The battle of the jet vehicles – the dragster vs. the funny car: “California Smoky” takes on “The Terminator” in a 300 mph blast down the quarter-mile Some of the best sportsman racers in Texas A giant holiday fireworks display “Families matter to the Thunder Jam and we want parents and kids to witness this ultimate thrill show,” said Jim Marchyshyn, Thunder Jam vice president of marketing. “With gas prices rising across the country, people want choices closer to home to spend their entertainment dollar. Residents of San Antonio and the surrounding area can come to San Antonio Raceway June 30 for an affordable, exciting option.” Adult tickets are just $20. Children 12 and under are $5. Parking is free and every ticket includes a pit pass, giving fans the chance to go “backstage” and meet the drivers.
