I think that we are missing some of the race winners from the SAS SLM shows. I'm not sure what year OctoberFAST became a ROMCO Sanctioned race. I'm with Colt. Patrick Lawler won a SAS Show as well as John O'neil won another year as well. John Kelly also won a couple of Spring shows (March & May) at SAS.

I think that the list is almost finished except for the SLM races that SAS put on.

My memory just kicked in and I think that we might have mistake on the records. I shows Ralh Burris Jr on the list at one win. I think he has 2 maybe 3 depending on how you look at it. One of the previos threads so him winning a ROMCO race at THR in 99? I also remember him winning a pair of SLM twin 76 lap feature at SAS arround the 4th of July. I also didn't see patrick Lawler who won the 1st October"fast" and John O'Niel who won a couple of years later before the October"fast" SLM race won ROMCO sanctioned. All in all this is a good list.

I was just looking at some of the old stuff on here and thought this should be revisited. Some interesting names that I havent seen or heard for a while. These were the "Good Ol" days. If your ever bored and want to relive a little of the past just go WAY back here on LSS and read some of the stuff. Its great!

Looking back, it was stated that 1999 ROMCO records were missing/incomplete:

Top 10 1999 Point Standings

I have a complete run down of the ROMCO race results, with the exception of the 1999 season. I can only find what I listed.

But I am cleaning up the results for 2000-2004 and will post them when I'm done.

That listing is only good up to the end of the 2003 season. Merrill, according to the records I have, never raced ROMCO; his Late Model starts and wins were in USRA.

As I find time, I will be compiling all this, and updating that 2003 listing.

can someone tell me when and where did Mike Denman win 2 races?

26 May, 1990, and 25 April, 1992, both at Altus Speedway in Oklahoma.

The 1992 race, if I remember correctly, was moved to the 1/4 mile Altus Speedway after the 1/2 mile Sooner was flooded by rain. The same people owned both tracks at this time.

I was at the 92 race, Mike had a good run there.

i dont remember what year but my dad (David Lege) won the 10,000 race at kyle with the romco series.

Edit--It was the 2001 season ender at Kyle. He had Heath Stewart all over him most of the latter part of the race, but they put on a clinic on how to race each other clean. The car I crewed at that time finished third (Wallace).

You may ask David, I think this was the race where they had some issue with the engine, cylinder head I think, and a local machine shop fixed the problem for him.

I have the race recap for that one, I'll be posting that stuff as soon as I get them organized. But David won out over some 40 cars that showed up that weekend, and 30 that started.

Your Uncle Doug finished 6th on the lead lap.

All right, this is the list with the 2004 ROMCO winners added. I think it is correct as of October 16, 2004. I WILL be double checking the accuracy as soon as I compile the USRA results for 2005, and 2006.
