WEST BEND, Wis. -- High Groove Marketing, Inc., has already begun to spread its wings as part of our new motorsports alliance and partnership with the ASA Late Model Series. In our role as a promotional vehicle for the ASALMS, we’ve managed and developed the marketing, promotion and sponsorships for this weekend’s ASALMS Challenge Division Race at Hawkeye Downs (IA) Speedway in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Here are some of things we’ve done to promote this race:

Secured the title sponsor (Barron Motor Supply) and the presenting sponsor (Cassill Motors). These sponsors are also helping us spread the word about this weekend’s race with the distribution of posters, flyers, and kids’ free coupons.

Barron Motor Supply is also conducting a drawing for its customers to win a ride in the ASALMS Two-Seater race car. Cassill Motors is serving as the headquarters for the Thursday May 10, 2007 "Pit Stop Competition" and drivers’ autograph session at the K-Mart West location (6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.).

Made an agreement with Casey’s General (Convenience) Stores to distribute kids’ free coupons at all of its store locations in three counties in the Cedar Rapids area.

Ran television and radio ads during the entire race week. detailed article and picture were printed in Sunday’s edition of The Gazette, a major newspaper in the Cedar Rapids area.

Scheduled a “hauler parade” throughout the streets of Cedar Rapids at 7:30 a.m. on Friday morning (May 11, 2007) from K-Mart West to Hawkeye Downs Speedway – parade being led by Mike Neilly, the Traffic Director from Country Music Station 98.1, KHAK.

Contacted television, radio and newspaper media via telephone, e-mails and press releases. Scheduled a Press Conference on Friday afternoon at the speedway that will include media rides in the ASALMS Two-Seater race car.

Arranged for an autograph session with Hendrick Motorsports Development Driver, Landon Cassill and the legendary Gary St. Amant on Saturday afternoon (May 12, 2007) at the Cassill Motors Tent Sale at K-Mart West.

We know that it will take a lot of effort for the ASALMS teams to participate in all of the events we’ve scheduled for this weekend, but we want to let the fine folks in the Cedar Rapids area know that your race cars are in town for this big event. The parade on Friday morning will give the ASALMS teams lots of exposure, and we plan to reward the participating teams with priority parking in the pits.

It takes a lot of effort and diligence to promote this type of event, and we appreciate the ASALMS’s confidence in the High Groove Marketing team. We also feel that it’s important to get the support of the ASALMS teams to help us spread the word to race fans all over the country.

We chose this weekend’s race as our first, full-fledged promotional effort, and we plan to do similar promotions for a few more ASALMS races this year. It’s our goal to make sure that we’re doing our part in creating the “Stars of Tomorrow” in the ASA Late Models Series. And, the more we grow together, the more potential you’ll have for additional money and exposure at ASALMS racing events all over the country.

Again, we appreciate your support, and we look forward to our continued partnership with the ASA Late Model Series

"ok so ya this is what we did lets all pat ourselves on the back" And remember ASA is a SERIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! not a track so dont give me this pity me track BS. HE HAD 3 SERIES!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, Jason, you didn't have to go all the way over to Who Won to find this release. I posted it here on TXSZ in the Announcements section today at 03:45 p.m.

Jason,

The information that was posted on the ASA website, etc., was actually a letter that was addressed to the ASA LMS drivers. It was not sent out as a press release. Unfortunately, when it was posted, the "To" and "From" information was not included. Maybe it will help your perspective if you look at it from a different angle. Our goal with the letter was to solicit their support in all of the activities we have planned for this weekend.

By the way, the weather is really great here in Cedar Rapids, and we're looking forward to checking out Hawkeye Downs Speedway later this morning.

Laters,
