Am I understanding this correctly? TSRS and SAS Late Models are racing each other? TSRS must run the TSRS rules (i.e. no mini clutch, no coil overs, etc.) but must run 10" tires? This a TSRS points race? My understanding is the answer to these questions is affirmative. Can this be right? This can't be right, can it? Note to self, order 8 new 10" wheels and 8 tires. rebelracewriter
Brad, I "think" SAS is saying that you guys can run with the SAS Late Models on the first night of Oktoberfast(Oct. 4) if you use the tire/wheel specifications. Your regular TSRS race is the next weekend(Oct. 11). At least that what I got out of reading it.

racerjim2
Chuckman I have run with the Thunder Hill late models in the past it's been a lot of fun I would like to run some of the TSRS races but my car dosent fit the wheel base rule It's 105" instead of 108".The TSRS cars have a little better head by runnning the vortech and that would suite them at SAS over the bowtie that we run. Did you see the payout for the octoberfast race? what does the TSRS race pay plus points position pay with $10,000.00 in the points fund the differance in the points money wil be small compaired to the 2500.00 to win at SAS it would sure pay for the wheels and tires. We also have a local points fund plus money from NASCAR the track champ got a check for $ 10,000.00 plus local points money for a total of about $14,000.00 the sunbelt champ got $46,000.00 plus his local bucks and the national champ got 162,000.00 for racing cars with no more expence than what you guys are spending.Sorry kind of got off the subject but if you cant make some big gains in the points it might be worth tring, your car might do better than you think. ChuckLicata
Just my .02 worth...(My opinion is back up to 2 cents, considering the MZone show will soon hit the airwaves again--details coming!)... TSRS cars can run in the OktoberFast on Oct. 4, even though we'll be in Houston for the Space City 125 on that night... Since TSRS has a great car count when we run at SAS due to the # of SA area drivers that come out and run in our series...maybe SAS figures they can grab any SA area drivers who won't be going to Houston to run in the Space City 125...? Racer26
Nick, Do you know what the entry fees will be? Registration? Also, in the road runner class is there a specific tire that must be run or are you required to run the tire that you run at your track? Thanks, looks like this could become quite an event. NickHolt
BigDish2, Although the Friday (October 3rd) practice at San Antonio Speedway is not a TPS sanctioned practice (no TPS officials will be present), you are welcome to practice at SAS on that date if SAS opens their practice up to all classes. I note that SAS is charging $15 per person / $30 per car for that practice. As far as TPS is concerned, there are no restricitons to prevent any TPS team from participating in that practice. Racer26, The SAS website shows at $75 entry/registration fee for Late Models, a $50 fee for Sportsman cars and a $25 fee for Road Runner cars. The entry form is posted on the SAS website http://www.sanantoniospeedway.com/Oktoberf...rfast/entry.htm As for the Road Runner rules, SAS has posted their OktoberFast rules on their website http://www.sanantoniospeedway.com/Oktoberf...rfast/rules.htm which I quote here: +++++++++++++++++ Road Runners Cars invited to compete are San Antonio Speedway Road Runner Cars, Corpus Christi Bomber Cars, I37 Speedway Pure Stock Cars, and Thunder Hill Raceway Pure Stock Cars. * All San Antonio Speedway Road Runner 2003 rules apply. * All Thunder Hill Raceway Pure Stock 2003 rules apply. * All I37 Speedway Pure Stock 2003 rules apply. * All Corpus Speedway Bomber Car 2003 rules apply. * NO “HYBRIDS”! All cars must meet SAS, THR, I37, or CCS rules 100%. Post Race Inspection to be done by entry form declared rules. +++++++++++++++++ If you have questions about any of the above, you really should contact San Antonio Speedway.
