Smith Scores Win at HOT

 

ELM MOTT—Dillon Smith from Waco picked up his first I.M.C.A. modified win of the season on a cold Friday night at the Heart O' Texas Speedway. Chad Estes from Troy and Henry Witt, Jr., from Waco finished second and third. Thanks to the generosity of drivers and fans, many happy kids took home Easter baskets that were given away throughout the program.

 

Killeen driver, Eric Jones, reached the checkered flag ahead of Jason Honey from Waco and Shad Stevens from Troy in the I-stock feature race.

 

Brandon Stewart from Academy won a three way battle with Lil’ Robert Black from Hallsburg and Keith White from Academy for the I.M.C.A. SportMod win. Black and White were second and third.

 

Michael Robertson from McGregor earned his second season win in the I.M.C.A. hobby stock class. Randy Sodek from Temple and Jaron Shahan from China Spring followed in second and third.

 

Whitney’s Mark Geurin won the street stock feature with Greg Andrews in second and Doug Andrews in third.

 

Andy Roller from Bellmead collected his first winner’s trophy of the season in the pure stock feature. Local drivers Wade White and Marshall Sauseda took second and third.

 

Dwain Wills from Waco inherited the cruiser win after the first place finisher was disqualified. William Dean from Elm Mott advanced to second, and Jeff Willis from West, moved to third.

 

Dylan Smith from Robinson, Zack Henson from Golinda, and Aaron Childress from Bertram were the top three in the junior mini stock class.

 

Ralph Wren, Dewayne Berger, and Lee Mooney were the top three in the visiting Brazos Mini Stock feature.

 

Next Friday night will feature the first visit of the ASCS Sooner Region Sprint Cars. I.M.C.A. modifieds, I-stocks, I.M.C.A. SportMods, and I.M.C.A. hobby stocks will also be competing.
