(March 31, 2007) – Torrential rain has washed out Saturday night's scheduled season opener for the American Sprint Car Series Gulf South Region at Champion Park Speedway. A possible makeup date for the Inaugural Josh Lofton Memorial is under discussion. With the rainout, the ASCS Gulf South Region is now set to kick off the 2007 season with next weekend's double at Motorama Speedway in Beaumont, TX, on Friday night and Baytown's Houston Raceway Park on Saturday night. available at _www.ascsracing.com_ (http://www.ascsracing.com/) .
