Budman
Hardly anything more fun than hanging out at an old hotrod shop. "Like a kid in a candy store", couldn't help but snap a few pics, while at a friends shop the other day. Yeah, that's an old "MOON Equipment Co." fuel pressure tank. Look closely, you'll be able to see the "MoonEyes" Logo. Amazing what you can find in the dark recesses of old shops. L to R ......... a 39 Lincoln V-12 flathead, a highly modified ford V-8 Flathead racing engine, manufactured in San Antonio in the 1940's I believe, and an old Chrysler Hemi from the late 1950's. Pretty cool stuff.
txtom
That Ford Flathead has the Smith-Jiggler heads on it, designed by Tiny Smith. Some of the foundry work was done in Luling. Buddy, Who has that engine? I know a guy in San Antonio who has most of the original blue prints and some of the casting bucks for the Smith-jiggler. He has even built new rocker arms for a pending Midget project that wil have one of those engines in running condition.
