Smiley’s IMCA state championship program

to add Sport Compact, Crate Model classes

 

BALCH SPRINGS, Texas (Feb. 7) – Smiley’s Racing Products ups its post- season awards ante in 2007, expanding the contingency program for IMCA drivers winning state championships.

 

With the addition of prizes in the Sport Compact class and the new Crate Model division, Smiley’s will award more than $5,000 in gift cards, plus jackets and plaques, this season.

 

Modified, Late Model, Sprint Car and Stock Car state champions each receive $100 gift cards. State champs in the Jeff’s Performance Southern SportMod, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod, Hobby Stock, Crate Model and Sport Com­pact classes earn $50 gift cards.

 

The cards can be used in making purchases at any Smiley’s retail location, over the internet or by phone.

 

“When something works you stick with it, and Smiley’s partnership with IMCA and our state champion program is an excellent illustration of that,” said IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder. “Smiley’s is the number one name in racing in Texas and across the South, and I can’t think of a better place to get everything an IMCA racer needs.”

 

Sport Compacts are already on weekly race cards at tracks in five states. Winston, Mo., Speedway became the first track to sanction the Crate Models this season.

Two hundred and forty-nine drivers have won state crowns since the program was introduced seven years ago. All points earned at sanctioned weekly or designated special events through the regular point season will determine the 2007 champions.
