Seems like most of the TPS cars would NOT be legal (No Aluminum head on Ford, No tube chassis will be allowed, Must have Stock Firewall and Floor pan) but there are some that would be, and most Thunder cars I would imagine, as well. 6-8 hour drive for $2,500 to win and $250 to start... HMMM... Engine 4 cylinder engine, 2 valves per cylinder(No rear engines) Engine makes for the cars make (Ford to Ford, Chevy to Chevy) 500 CFM carburetor limit( Subject to be tested) No Marine engines will be allowed No fuel injection No Aluminum head on Ford.. Toyota Stock aluminum head allowed Clutch Any clutch allowed with the exception of a dog clutch. Front wheel drives will be allowed Body No tube chassis will be allowed Must have Stock Firewall and Floor pan , Gutting inside is ok Complete aluminum bodies and aftermarket nose are allowed Suspension Racing springs, shocks and aftermarket trailing arms will be allowed, but must be bolted in STOCK LOCATION. Rearends can be locked. Disc brakes can be on the rear. Wheels and Tires 8" steel wheels only. Bead locks on RIGHT SIDE ONLY. Open tires, but must fit in an 11" hoop.. NO TOLERANCE 3 wheel brakes allowed Fuel Gas only (Fuel cell highly recommended) Battery Battery must be enclosed from driver Weight 2300 lbs. after the race.. thumper Posted February 2, 2007 Report Share Posted February 2, 2007 That 2300 pounds kills any small engine car.I have already looked at this race.At least Gator used 2000 pounds for a minimum.That killed all the bugs but an air cooled car won anyway.
