Summit Racing Equipment to Sponsor IHRA Pro-Am Tour

NORWALK, Ohio (December 8, 2006) – IHRA has announced Summit Racing Equipment as sponsor of the sanctioning body's Pro-Am Tour. Mr. Gasket will be the presenting sponsor of the series.

 

 

 

Designed to offer semi-professional drag racers the opportunity to chase a championship without extended travel, the Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour presented by Mr. Gasket consists of races held in various regions throughout the country. Drivers earn points towards Pro-Am championships, as well as IHRA eMax Drag Racing Series championships.

"Summit Racing Equipment and Mr. Gasket have shown their dedication to our sport throughout the years and this is just another step in that continued involvement."

 

 

 

In addition, sportsman racers will have the opportunity to participate in the Summit Racing Equipment Allstars presented by Mr. Gasket, a season-ending shootout event feature the top competitors in each of the seven Pro-Am classes: Top Sportsman, Top Dragster, Super Stock, Stock, Quick Rod, Super Rod and Hot Rod. More information regarding the Allstars race will be released at a later date.

 

 

 

The Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour presented by Mr. Gasket kicks-off the 2007 season in Florida, February 10, at Immokalee Regional Raceway. Many of the races are double-events, which allow drivers to compete in two races in one weekend, reducing the amount of required travel and increasing the value of each event.
