The family will not have a formal wake here in Houston, but wishes for all friends of Bob to attend an event in his honor this coming Sunday. Here are the details: Date: Sunday, August 17, 2003 Time: 1:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. Location: South Shore Country Club, League City Texas Address: 4300 South Shore Boulevard Phone: 281-334-0521 Mapquest: MapQuest Map Click on the above link to get a map for driving directions. You should be able to zoom in and out of this map before you decide to print it. Dress is casual, so please be comfortable. Reverend Ken Gumm will begin the event at 1:00 with an invocation and the purpose for our fellowship. There will be a buffet with drinks and a limited beer selection, courtesy of the Meyer family. There will also be a cash bar for anyone who would like to purchase a cocktail. Bring any photos you may have of Bob from your personal photos, from Bennigan's or from racing. Bring your stories, too! This event is truly meant to be uplifting for those who cared for Bob. The family is looking forward to sharing with each of us the experience of his life and to celebrate all the good things he did and all the people he touched. Hope to see everyone there.
