Haney in a 1958 Odessa Newspaper story in which he was competing (apparently in the Odessa area) in a super-modified. Also of interest was an accompanying article about the upcoming weekend's southwest conference football game between SMU and A&M, and the great quarterback match up of Don Meredith of SMU and Charlie Milstead of A&M.
