Sexton Scores First HOT Win

 

ELM MOTT-Jeff Sexton from Ross won his first limited modified feature Friday night at the Heart O' Texas Speedway. Lorena drivers Ritchie Robins and James Hoffman finished second and third in the hard charging race.

 

Henry Witt Jr. from Waco won his second straight IMCA modified feature by holding off Keith Green from Robinson and Chris Glick from Buffalo.

 

Visiting driver Kevin Sustaire from Emory registered an I-stock feature win over local drivers Joe Mathias and Daniel Kent.

 

Ray Welnack from Dallas led Bill Waller from Euless and Brad Welborn from Allen to Victory Lane in the IMCA sprint feature.

 

Hallsburg's Charlie Goodnight reached the finish line in the street stock feature ahead of Mark Geurin from Whitney and Ed Thompson from Waco.

 

Michael Robertson from McGregor, Jimmy Reid from Waco, and Timmy Kemp from Bellmead were the top three finishers in the pure stock feature.

 

Michael Haisler from Elm Mott was the top finisher in the cruiser feature followed by Chad Barber and Michael George from Waco.

 

Dillon Smith from China Spring picked up the first place trophy in the junior mini stock class. Preston Ellis from Belton and Kevin Green from Robinson were second and third.

 

The Speedway will be back in action Sunday night with the second Enduro 250 of the season. Gates open at 6:00 P.M. and the race begins at 8:00 P.M.
