SportMods the way to Victory Lane in the feature Friday night at the Heart O' Texas Speedway. His son-in-law, Sam Sovey, followed in second place and Jeffrey Shepperd from Waco took third.  P.J. Egbert from Copperas Cove topped the I.M.C.A. modifieds for the feature win with Pat McGuire from Belton in second David Dulock from West finished third in his second race of the year.  Top I-Stock honors went to Chad Estes from Troy with Jeff Turner from Combine in second and B.J. Dulock from Robinson in third.  Jason Gallimore from Waco won the I.M.C.A. hobby stock feature over Jeremy Bost from Crawford in second and Mark Bullock Jr. from Sunnyvale in third.  John Heffelfinger edged out fellow Wacoan Paul Bolfing and Paul Steele Jr. from Chilton to win a close street stock feature.  Point leader David Sawyer from Axtell won the pure stock feature with Charlie Norris from Hillsboro taking second in his first race at the Speedway this season and Melvin Kemp Jr. from Waco kept the points race tight with a third place finish.  The top two point leaders in the cruiser class, Michael Haisler from Elm Mott and Michael Guenat from Robinson, finished one and two in the feature with Steven Young from Robinson in third.  Jay Symm from Lorena, Corbin Taylor from Waco, and Trey Estes from Waco were the top three in the junior mini stock feature.  Next Friday will be a regular race program for all classes. The annual Fireworks Show to celebrate Independence Day will be held on Friday, June 30. Gates open at 6:00 P.M. and racing begins at 8:00 P.M. for both events. Check for details at www.heartotexspeedway.com   Coming Events  June 23, 2006 Friday 8:00 P.M.
