NickHolt Posted July 20, 2003 Report Share Posted July 20, 2003 Most people don't know this but fire is Jim's worst nightmare. Jim doesn't have a spleen. While I don't understand it all, if someone gets badly burned and that person doesn't have a spleen, they are at extreme risk. The spleen acts as sort of a filter to clean out broken red blood cells (and a lot get broken when you are burned) and if it's missing you stand a good chance of becoming a statistic.
