rebelracewriter Posted April 22, 2006 Report Share Posted April 22, 2006 Stone Wins at HOT  ELM MOTT—Kenny Stone from Troy set a fast pace to win the I.M.C.A. modified feature Friday night at the Heart O' Texas Speedway. Ronnie Warren from Oglesby finished second and J.P. Dowell from Killeen was third.  Benji Kirkpatrick from Elm Mott was the one to beat in the I-stock feature as he took the win over Tim Ezell from Buffalo and David Khoury from Waco.  David Stewart from Bruceville led Cody Frank from Waco and Brandon Hood from McGregor to Victory Lane in the I.M.C.A. SportMod feature.  Mike Hulsey from Keller and Allen Montgomery from Rhome took the top two spots in the I.M.C.A. hobby stock feature with young Chandler Simons from Robinson coming in third.  Waco driver Mike Sutherland became a new winner in the street stock class and was trailed by fellow Wacoans Paul Bolfing and Ed Thompson.  Last year’s champion, Kevin Smith from Waco, won his first pure stock feature of the season. Melvin Kemp Jr. and Jeff Williams, both also from Waco, ran second and third.  Michael Guenat from Robinson topped the cruiser field for a feature win over Sean Robertson from Waco and Jeff Woodruff from Elm Mott.  Colton Monroe, Kyle Davis, and Brandon Campos finished in the top three positions of the junior mini stock feature.  Next Friday’s regular race program will include a Silver Rush for kids. Coins will be scattered across the front straightaway and youngsters will scramble to collect as many as they can until they are all collected. Gates open at 6:00 P.M. and races begin at 8:00 P.M. Check our website at www.heartotexspeedway.com.  Coming Events April 28, 2006 Friday 8:00 P.M.
