San Antonio, Tx.,(March 25 2006) Excellent conditions greeted drivers, crew and fans as day two of qualifying for the Pro Classes began and time trials continued for Sportsman classes, while eliminations started in other Sportsman classes. Continued cool temperatures and low humidity would have made for ideal conditions, but the sun beating down on the track raised track temps to over 100 degrees, making tune up’s tricky for crew chiefs.

Pro Qualifying Round 4

As temperatures and track conditions cooled, the tune-ups became trickier and harder to find. Several cars unloaded quarts of oil on the surface to add in the difficulty. The final two runs in Top Fuel were cancelled after massive clean up efforts put the drivers safety in jeopardy.

"I think we just prepared alot," replied Doug Foley on his quick time. "We've been out since the second week of January and have 40-50 runs. We knew that's what it was going to take to run with with Clay(Millican). It's a great team over there and we needed to come prepared, with a good competitive car. we're just going to have to be careful we don't over step it tmorrow."

Foley, who sat through a couple long oil clean ups added."I just try to relax during the long clean ups. We crack some jokes to amuse ourself."
