TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY BACKSTRETCH TO ADD JUMBOTRONS,

FESTIVE ATMOSPHERE FOR SAMSUNG/RADIOSHACK 500 NASCAR RACE WEEKEND

FORT WORTH, Texas (March 16, 2006) – Texas Motor Speedway, along with local radio partners KLLI (Live 105.3 FM), KJKK (103 Jack FM) and KRLD (News Radio 1080 AM), is enhancing the experience for backstretch fans with the addition of more Jumbotron-style screens and a festive atmosphere during the Samsung/RadioShack 500 NASCAR race weekend set for April 6-9.

Texas Motor Speedway, with backstretch seating for 30,877 spectators, will be adding two more giant Jumbotron-style screens to push the total to three for backstretch fan viewing. The three screens will give fans the ability from anywhere on the backstretch to watch the pre-race show, pit-stop action and well as replays of key moments throughout the race.

Prior to the race action on both Saturday and Sunday, the backstretch will be enlivened with off-track action featuring hot-air balloon rides, live concerts and interactive booths sponsored by all three radio stations. The festival will be situated outside of gates 9 and 10 on the backstretch side of the speedway. All events are free and open to all race ticket holders.

The Saturday concert will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. CT, concluding prior to the 2:10 p.m. start of the NASCAR Busch Series O’Reilly 300. The Sunday concert will be staged from 10 a.m.–noon, ending prior to the 1 p.m. start of the Samsung/RadioShack 500 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series race. The bands will be announced in the coming week.

Backstretch tickets remaining for the Samsung/RadioShack 500 range between $55 and $75 for the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup event on Sunday, April 9. Frontstretch tickets are still available for the O’Reilly 300 NASCAR Busch Series race and range between $33 and $67.
