By: Pat Mayberry

Who says you can't go home again? This morning, Thunder Hill Raceway

Co-owners, Brian Callaway and Mary Ann Naumann, will announce that future

Texas Sports Hall of Fame announcer, Chuck Licata, will be returning to the

Thunder Hill Raceway announcers' booth for the 2006 race season.

"I'm excited to return to not only TSRS but Thunder Hill Raceway this year,"

Licata said. "I have always appreciated Brian Callaway for naming me the

announcer at Thunder Hill Raceway when the track opened. He and Mary Ann

have been supportive to let me develop my own style of announcing. I look

forward to seeing and working with the THR and TSRS staff, as well as the

great race fans and local race teams, for the upcoming season. I'm also

excited about announcing the NASCAR event at THR on Sept. 30."

Licata is certainly no stranger to Central Texas race fans. Licata along

with business partner and technical director, Kevin McAdams own and operate

K-MAC Sports Promotions. Licata and co-host, Ric Clark, are also the voices

of the popular KVET 1300 AM radio show, The Motorsports Zone, airing

Saturday mornings from 10-11 AM (CST).

Thunder Hill Raceway will be kicking off the 2006 season on April 15th,

featuring the Texas Super Racing Series, USRA Modifieds, USRA Trucks as well

as the Thunder Hill Raceway Hobby Stocks, Grand Stocks and Street Stocks.

Fans on hand will be guaranteed a full night of racing excitement.
